Personal MBA

by Financial Fruition on April 8th, 2006

I was surfing around a little bit this morning and ran into the manifesto of the Personal MBA. It’s a very interesting concept (not quite a “movement” yet), in that it it’s primary premise is getting a MBA is expensive. However you could read a group of books and discuss them online in an educated fashion and pretty much achieve the same business education.

From a personal finance angle, the Personal MBA could prove to be very beneficial. Furthering your education can help you in your career, ultimately making you more money by being a better employee. Yet, you don’t have the abhorent tuition bill of a great (or good) MBA program.

I think I may pick up a few books in their list of 42 and see how this goes.
